- 2 cups normal rice (Egyptian type)
- 2-3 tbs. spoons vegetable oil or butter
- 1 cube meat or chicken stock
- A pinch or salt to taste

- Put the rice in a strainer and wash it very well in cold
water to wash the starch off.
- Fry rice for a couple of minutes in the oil or butter in
a small non-stick pot.
- Boil water with the meat stock cube or a pinch of salt and
pour enough to cover the rice plus one centimeter (1/2 inch)
- Let boil then lower fire to minimum, cover well and let cook
for 20 minutes.
- Turn over into a cake like shape in the serving dish.
- Serve hot.
