Anabta: Ancestral Home Of The Anabtawis

Anabta is a rather attractive town, with both a modern, bustling centre and a quietly beautiful historic quarter. The picturesque roads into the town centre are lined with palm trees and there are chaotic patches of cacti throughout the town. The busy high street is home to street food vendors, speciality shops, and quirky stores. Large and ornate stone gates herald the entrance to the Old Town, which has the typical paved roads, hidden stairways and domed roofs. Anabta, located just 9km east of Tulkarem, is one of the oldest municipalities in the Tulkarem governorate. The fields surrounding the town are planted with figs, olives and almonds.

Nablus lies 50 km south of Anabta.
