  • 700 gr. beef stew meat
  • 2 onions
  • 50 gr. butter
  • 2 tbs. flour
  • Salt, pepper, paprika, to taste
  • 1 carrot,
  • 1 glass of red wine
  • 1 glass of brandy
  • Beef stock or beef extract cube
i Goulash
is a soup or stew of meat and vegetables (especially potato), seasoned with paprika and other spices. Originating in Hungary, goulash is also a popular meal in in many European countries. It is one of Hungary's national dishes and a symbol of the country. The name originates from the Hungarian gulyás. The word gulya means 'herd' in Hungarian, and gulyás means 'herdsman'

  1. Cut meat in cubes and cover with flour.
  2. Fry carrots and onion till golden in butter.
  3. When meat changes color, cover and lower heat. Let cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Uncover and add salt pepper and paprika.
  5. Stir well, add a glass of red wine and cover again, stirring every now and then..
  6. After 30 minutes cover the meat with stock and let cook for 3 hours, stirring ever now and then until done.
    Serve with rice or potatoes
